Squidoo is a great way to both set yourself up as an expert in your field, as well as add another income stream to your business and joining is free. So what is Squidoo and how can it help your business?
Once you sign up with Squidoo you become a Squidoo lensmaster and able to create your own lenses. A lens is a page on Squidoo with it’s unique url and you get to choose what that url is. Just think keywords in your market! As Squidoo’s lensmasters are creating hundreds, if not thousands of new lenses every day then Google and the rest of the search engines LOVE Squidoo and therefore crawls it for new content regularly throughout the day so your lens can appear in the search engines within a few hours.
A squidoo lens is made up of modules and you can choose which modules appear on your lens from a wide variety of modules. From displaying YouTube videos, Twitter feeds and rss feeds from your blog to money making modules such as Amazon, eBay, Cafepress and Etsy, of which you get a share of the commission, as well as from the Google adsense ads, depending on the amount of visitors to your lenses.
It is best to not have too many money making modules on your lens as it will come across too much like just spam. Lots of text with images will make it a better experience for your visitors, who may decide to rate your lens, anything from a 1 star to 5 stars.
