Watch Out For Spam Images
Recently I’ve had quite a few spam emails getting through my spam filter and into my inbox with a worrying trend. More and more are adding images to their emails so they are html instead of plain text. Most images that come through from legitimate sources won’t have this type of description on their images.
Most of the time, the whole email will be an image, with no extra text. It can be very tempting to click on these images to see what they actually are but it is always better to err on the edge of caution and NEVER click on these links, especially if you are unsure of who the sender actually is.
There are variations of this message, all enticing you to click through to see the message, again DON’T!
Although most of us have anti-spam and anti-virus installed on our computers, some slip through and it’s better to take preventative measures that have to use them.
Hope this helps and saves you some headaches later on.
